The woman in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court intake office who is there for the sole purpose of setting up appointments and handing out the paperwork needed for those parents who do not have a custody order in effect was very clearly sexist and prejudice against fathers. I went in to pick up paperwork for my husband and set up an appointment for him so he could begin the process of getting custody of his child. She was very sweet and helpful going over the paperwork with me until she realized it was for my husband at which point she became snippy and short with me. I went with him the following week to make sure the process went smoothly for him (as this is already a stressful situation and doesn't need to be made any harder). When we got there the same woman was at the window and all but turned her nose up to him. I however was there a little over a year ago and received the complete opposite reaction, she was sweet, caring, interested in my life. I think perhaps a seminar would be highly suggested or maybe this downright isn't the job position for her, as it does take two people to make and raise a child and both should be treated with the same understanding and open opportunities.
The entire legal system in this town is corrupt to the core. From the over staffed police force to the high ups in the "justice" system.
A officer pulled me over and said I was speeding my wife who was the owner of the car told the officer I was not speeding so then he started to stutter his words then asked would I be ok with a lesser charge?..... I told I'm just trying to get my kids home because I had to work the next day and it was 12 at night because we just came from a long trip where we picked them up.. he said ok then went to his car and came back asked me to step out the car then told me he smelled something on my breath I told him I don't do drugs nor would I drink with my kids in the car or drive drunk. My wife liscense was suspended and she was the owner of the car. He then said no not alcohol but Marijuana. I looked at him with a stupid face and said officer I don't do drugs. He asked me can he pat me down I said if this will get my family home because this is ridiculous. He then said I just Wana make sure. He find nothing then he goes to my wife in the passenger and asked her do I have drugs on me she said no he does not do drugs. Then the officer asked my wife to get out the car because he gonna look around. Long story short something that looked like a joint was in my wife car. I get the ticket. Yes I am black my wife is white. She was never searched patted down or anything. I hired two lawyers one was a criminal lawyer and the other was a civil rights attorney. Long story short my rights were violated and I was profiled. My lawyer confronted the prosecutor who then realized the issue of the county being sued so she said she will drop all charges of I do 50 hours community service but I completed it but now they keep telling me I need this form or this signature. This is not the American way to treat hard working Americans and tax payers.
Not helpful at all to this custodial parent regarding a child support case ordered in 2003 with a payment ever being made and lack of court enforcement to remedy the nom custodial parent lack of regard for following a child support order.. I guess holding a non custodial parent accountable to follow a court order regarding Child support is not ian interest that Warren County courts find a priority to them.. I am finding the court does not always act in the best interest of the child since they have dragged their feet since 2003 in regards to holding a non custodial parent accountable to pay their court ordered obligation of Child support..
